DarkBadb is the fiction division of DyerBolical and the home of our original horror writing.
Our work spans the breadth of the horror genre, exploring psychological horror, gothic horror, vampire fiction, eldritch horror, supernatural horror, creature horror, science fiction horror, body horror, folk horror, literary horror and horror poetry. Some stories are quiet and unsettling. Others descend into brutality, obsession and the supernatural. Each explores fear from a different perspective while remaining rooted in atmosphere, character and the unknown.
Our earlier collections demonstrate that range. Ultimate Horrotica: Immortalis Tales brings together hundreds of horror poems and short works across multiple subgenres. Readers can journey through science fiction nightmares such as Anomaly, vampire horror including Sanguine Fervour, supernatural tales such as A Stitch in Time, slasher horror, ghost stories, dystopian fiction, psychological horror and cosmic terror, each examining a different aspect of fear through its own distinctive style.
Our collaborative collection, The Thorn and His Rose, takes a different approach. Structured as an unfolding dialogue between two predators, the work blends literary horror, psychological manipulation and philosophical darkness into an unsettling exploration of obsession, morality, justice and the blurred boundary between hunter and hunted.
Those foundations ultimately evolved into Immortalis.
Immortalis is an expanding gothic horror universe centred upon Allyra Cavidini, a young woman who makes the fatal mistake of crossing paths with Nicolas DeSilva. Ancient, charismatic and utterly monstrous, Nicolas does not simply pursue his victims. He studies them. He learns every habit, every fear and every weakness until resistance itself becomes another part of his design. To him, love is not something to be earned but something to be engineered, possessed and preserved forever.
As Allyra searches for the truth behind impossible disappearances, forgotten histories and immortal beings hidden behind the modern world, she finds herself drawn into an ancient conflict inhabited by fractured monsters, forgotten kingdoms, eldritch entities, impossible creatures and immortal dynasties whose influence stretches across centuries. Every discovery answers one question while opening many more, until escape itself becomes uncertain.
