Again
He hears the voice,
‘Again!’
And then he hears the voice,
‘Again!’
Vibrations pulsate through him, Shivers rising with the spectre’s presence.
Perhaps his soul is trapped.
He is travelling, seeking his home.
Absence has lasted some time,
He wonders if a new tenant has moved in;
The home is different,
Not quite abandoned just not right.
He hears the music again,
Distant music streaming through the walls, And filling his not quite right home. The rooms are disjointed and different, He travelled far to find it.
He hears the music again.
Resting in a chair that he does not recall,
He hears the ghostly voices echo through the wall. He wonders if they will ever cease, And stop haunting his misplaced home.
He hears the beeping again,
Not quite traffic and not quite right.
Not fitting his strange eerie home.
The floors are uneven,
The town unrecognised,
And he hears the beeping again.
In some other place he sleeps, comatose. Saved from the crash, his heart started, But trapped far away in his own body.
His wife whispers softly into his ear, And plays music that he loved, Her husband so dear.
The monitors beep,
As she tries to bring him back home.
