Sea’s Screams
Nothing but water, Everywhere I look. Salty water chaffing my skin, As creatures dart beneath.
Dark shadows beneath, Comfortably passing. Turning, legs high above the floor, Water surrounds me.
Land clearly absent, Waves dancing ahead.
Rising and falling, a grain in the sand, Choking on saline.
Sickening stomach,
I try to swim with tides. Directionless, aimless and trapped, In the ocean’s arms.
Kicking furiously, Coughing up belches. Nose burning as my nostril’s fill, Turning desperately.
Mountain forms,
Growing from the deep,
Swelling upwards to the sky, Angrily threatening. Dense watery grave, Rising from the sea, Curving, preparing.
No escape.
Tsunami wave, Posturing, Bending.
Erupting,
Driving headlong,
As my heart ceases to beat.
