What Is the Relationship Between Allyra and Chester?

Allyra, the third Immoless, and Chester, the infamous demon of Neferaten, occupy distinct spheres within the fractured landscape of Morrigan Deep. Their paths do not cross, nor do their ambitions entwine. To seek a relationship between them is to chase shadows across separate dunes, for each embodies chaos in isolation, unbound by the other’s designs.

Chester roams the sands of Neferaten as a force of disruption, his silver-chained top hat and red jacket marking him as the Pied Piper of beavers and worse. He seduces, discards, and destroys with the casual indifference of one who views women as fleeting distractions. His trail is one of ecological havoc: beavers gnawing through Tiye’s trees, aardvarks devouring glassblowers in Tutmose, necrotising bacteria turning Seti’s bathers to rot. Chester’s appetites are primal, his methods grotesque, yet he operates without strategy or endgame. He is the desert wind, scattering lives for amusement, answerable to none save perhaps the distant gaze of Irkalla.

Allyra, by contrast, is precision incarnate. Bred as a weapon by the Electi, she rejects their script from the outset, forging her own through extraction and defiance. Her domain is the Getsug Sea and the shadowed shipwrecks where she boils vampires for truths they dare not yield. With Banshee Baer and BaerNedi at her side, she hunts knowledge, not conquest, her black-and-red hair a banner of calculated rebellion. Where Chester scatters, Allyra collects; where he indulges, she interrogates. Her gaze turns to sovereignty, not seduction, and her blade carves paths to power, not petty graves.

No chronicle binds them. Chester’s escapades plague Neferaten’s villages, far from Allyra’s maritime interrogations. He knows nothing of her quest for the Ad Sex Speculum, nor she of his bacterial plagues. Their chaos converges only in the broader rot of The Deep, where demons and Immolesses alike erode the fragile order Primus imposed. Yet even here, distinction holds: Chester is the symptom, Allyra the scalpel.

In a world of fractured lineages and blood debts, their disconnection underscores a grim truth. The Deep teems with predators, each carving their niche from the eternal dusk. Allyra and Chester do not collide; they simply devour from opposite shores, leaving the sands and seas equally barren.
